Mission Statement

Mission: The mission of the Virginia Knights of Columbus is to form Catholic men into faithful leaders, devoted husbands and fathers, and servant brothers through lives rooted in charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Guided by our state theme, “Seek. Find. Love.” and inspired by the words of Josemaría Escrivá — “May you Seek Christ, May you Find Christ, May you Love Christ” — we are committed to helping men deepen their relationship with Christ while strengthening our families, parishes, and communities through faith-filled service, authentic Catholic fraternity, and collaborative outreach.

Through the Next Generation Knights Initiative, we will focus our efforts on the pillars of leadership, effective communication, spirituality, and fraternity to prepare current and future generations of Knights for meaningful service in the Church and society. Inspired by the example of Michael J. McGivney, we seek to foster a culture of mentorship, volunteerism, personal development, and brotherhood that integrates membership growth with charitable programs and parish engagement in a unified mission of evangelization and service. We will ensure that every member receives proper orientation, ongoing formation, purposeful opportunities for leadership and service, and recognition for their contributions so they may grow spiritually, personally, and fraternally while advancing the mission of the Order.

To accomplish this mission, the Virginia Knights of Columbus will strategically plan, coordinate, and provide operational, financial, administrative, technological, and programmatic support to our Councils, Assemblies, and Squire Circles throughout the Commonwealth. We are committed to continual improvement, responsible stewardship, and collaborative leadership that strengthens the connection between membership, programs, parish life, and community service in order to build a stronger and more unified Order. All programs, initiatives, and actions undertaken in support of this mission shall remain faithful to the Virginia State Council By-Laws and the Supreme Council Charter, Constitution, and Laws of the Order.

Vision

Through the Next Generation Knights Initiative, we seek to equip men of all ages with the training, mentorship, and spiritual foundation necessary to lead with purpose, serve with charity, and grow in holiness. Rooted in the vision of Michael J. McGivney, we remain dedicated to building a stronger, more unified, and Christ-centered Order throughout Virginia.
