Presenting the Colors at Potomac Nationals Game

August 11, 2013 - Members of the Color Corps from Fr. Edwin Kelly Assembly 1443 presented the colors prior to a minor league baseball game between the Potomac Nationals and the Carolina Mudcats.  The Nationals, a Class A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, lost the game, 5-2.

Home games for the Potomac Nationals are played at Pfitzner Stadium, named after a former member of the Prince William County Supervisors.  Potomac Nationals games are a popular destination for Knights of Columbus councils in the Northern Virginia area - a great family activity for one and all!

Discounted group rates for game tickets are available for groups of 20 or more - $8 for Grandstand tickets, $10 for Reserved tickets - and further details are available on the team website.

Among the photos at left is a picture of the color corps posing with Potomac Nationals Manager Brian Daubach (number 23).

Associate Marshal Guillermo Giandoni (the fellow with the green cape), deserves special thanks: he participated in the event despite the fact that he had three cracked ribs and a broken collarbone!  Giandoni is Past Faithful Navigator of Fr. Kelly Assembly.  Other participants from Assembly 1443 were PFN Phil Kennedy and Armando Arvizu, and they were joined by PFN Joe Tucci of Richmond Assembly 1165.
