My Brother Knights of Virginia,

Wendy and I, and our family, would like to extend to all Virginia Knights and their families our very best wishes and prayers for a Blessed and Happy Easter!  As we gather this weekend with family and friends let us remember that through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Today we celebrate Founder’s day and it is indeed heartwarming to see so many councils continuing Fr. McGivney’s vision of the Knights of Columbus by helping those who do not have enough food, coats, or shelter and we thank you for your tireless efforts.  Every council in Virginia continues to amaze us with your unselfishness and drive to live out your faith and continue to make sacrifices for others as you “Lift High the Cross” every day.

Please keep in your prayers those who are ill and those in the service of our communities and country who cannot be with their families for Easter.  I ask everyone to be jubilant followers of our Lord and to “Lift High the Cross” by demonstrating to the world we are strong in our Catholic beliefs in these times when religion and faith are being attacked and persecuted all over the world.

Fraternally,

Stephen (Steve) Kehoe
