March 2016 quarterly meeting nomination of officers and much more

State Membership Director Bob Szerszynksi was selected by the nominating committee for the post of State Warden during the 2016-2017 Fraternal Year

March 12, 2016 - The last quarterly Virginia state quarterly meeting was held at Benedictine College Prep School in Richmond, VA, and featured a moving presentation on a program called "Boys to Men" sponsored by St. Michael/Joseph P. Solari Council 11172 in Glen Allen.

A special orientation program was held for men who will become Deputy Grand Knights in the new Fraternal Year that begins on July 1, and there was a Ladies Luncheon for the many members of the Ladies of Virginia who traveled to Richmond with their Knight husbands.

The Nominating Committee presented its slate of officers for the coming Fraternal Year, in which all of the current officers were nominated to climb to the next higher chair and the current state membership director, Bob Szerszinski, was nominated to become the new State Warden.

The Silver Rose was presented to State Deputy Steve Raschke by Bob Dannemiller, the state church activities chairman, and the SD in turn presented it to the culture of life chairman, John Wilkes. The Silver Rose will travel from council to council in Virginia through April 3, and will then move to North Carolina. It will ultimately travel to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey, Mexico.
