Virginia State Council
SD Stephen J. Kehoe
Please find attached a slightly revised Mid-Year Meeting Notice. A couple of the speakers on the Agenda have changed.
More importantly, if you have not made Hotel reservations, here is the latest information: We met our room block commitment and the hotel increased the room block, which has again been met. This morning, the State Deputy negotiated another increase for us. The hotel has added 10 King rooms to our room block for each night. Once they are sold, no additional rooms will be available, unless there are cancellations. If you have difficulties in reserving a room, ask to speak with Ms. Millie Cummings. She will have the final word. There is a Courtyard Marriott (Fair Oaks) just a couple of blocks away at 11220 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway (US Rte. 50). Rooms at this hotel can be booked through Expedia, Orbitz, or Hotels.com at comparable rates.
Two events for the weekend require RSVPs: the Ladies Luncheon and the Polynesian Dinner Dance. Please RSVP to both invitations as soon as possible, but no later than January 5, so planning for these events can be completed.
The no-cost Ladies Luncheon immediately follows the Ladies of Virginia (LOV) meeting (approx. 11:30) and will take place in Providence Hall (the Council home). RSVPs are due to Wendy Kehoe 703-591-6813 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Polynesian Dinner Dance will take place Saturday evening after the 5PM Mass in the School Gym. Reservations must be made as soon as possible with Executive Secretary Cy Alba at 703-455-6010 or 571-215-1233, or at email@example.com Cost for the event is $30 per person. Pre-payment by check should be made out to “Virginia State Council” and mailed to the Executive Secretary, Cy Alba, at 9310 Brian Run Lane, Springfield, VA 22153. Pre-payment would be most appreciated and will save time at the door.
