We encourage Virginia Knights to make sure they include two statewide Virginia K of C charity programs in their charitable giving plans:
VKCCI - Virginia Knights of Columbus Charities, Inc., a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that helps people in need throughout the state. Since its incorporation on July 1, 1994, VKCCI has distributed 765 grants totaling over $1.16 million to individuals in need.
You may send your VKCCI contribution by check to Kelly J. Mortensen, 3500 Gregory Pond Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23236, or you may make an on-line contribution by clicking on the button below:
KOVAR - Knights of Virginia Assisting Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has been helping God's Special People since 1971. During that time, Virginia Knights have raised more than $12 million for such projects as: home loans for the purchase of group homes; funding to assist in purchasing vehicles to transport persons with intellectual disabilities; group home furnishings; infant intervention programs; training programs; startup programs; and Special Olympics.
You may send your KOVAR contribution by check to Jeff Befumo, 16933 Four Seasons Drive, Dumfries, VA 22025. Or you may make an immediate on-line contribution by clicking on the button below:
PLEASE NOTE: Contributions that you intend to claim on your 2014 tax return must be received by December 31, 2014. If you're sending a check, send it early enough to be received by then. On-line donations are credited on the day they are made.
