Culture of Life Weekend

Mother Teresa of Calcutta Council 12117 held its Culture of Life Weekend January 23-24, a weekend marked by wintry weather.  The council conducted a Baby Bottle campaign following all masses during the weekend.  Despite the lower turnout due to the bad weather, the council collected $291, only $11 dollars less than the previous year’s total.

In addition to the Baby Bottle campaign, the council co-sponsored the annual spaghetti dinner with Parish Ways & Means Committee, and the Ladies Auxiliary.  An amazing turnout resulted in the council earning an additional $1,096 making the weekend’s total $1,387 – a record collection for the second year in a row.

The council has designated $500 for Hampton Roads K of C Ultrasound Initiatives, $300 to local Catholic Charities office, and $500 to Hope4Life, a Virginia Beach-based mobile ultrasound equipped RV.
